  35. I called Phase 5 today and they stated that their first version, priced 
  36. at $1395 is now available.  They said that it takes 5 weeks to get a 
  37. shipment from Germany.  The $995 price you have seen in a VTU ad is the 
  38. "Mark II" version.  I was told that this version is the same except that 
  39. it is manufactured in a different way to reduce the cost.  They told me 
  40. that the "Mark II" version would not be available until December.  I also 
  41. asked about the I/O module with SCSI II, Ethernet, and Fast serial.  They 
  42. said that as soon as there is enough demand for it, a production run 
  43. would be made.

  45. The question now is, "Do I wait 3 or 4 months for the cheaper one, or can 
  46. I make enough money off of the extra rendering speed to buy the more 
  47. expensive one".
